Leadership Grounded in Education

At Rêve Plastic Surgery, thoughtful leadership is founded on a deep respect for education, precision, and responsibility. The practice is led by Dr. Anil Kashyap, whose career has been shaped not only by surgical mastery but by years of academic training and mentorship within some of the nation’s most respected medical institutions. Dr. Kashyap’s approach reflects the belief that excellence in plastic surgery is built through continual learning, teaching, and refinement, principles that directly inform the elevated standard of care at Rêve.

Academic Influence Beyond the Operating Room

Before founding Rêve Plastic Surgery, Dr. Kashyap served as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Oklahoma, where he trained and mentored multiple generations of surgeons. He also led the VA’s head and neck reconstruction program, overseeing complex cases that required exceptional technical precision and interdisciplinary collaboration.

His academic career reinforced a disciplined, evidence-based approach to surgery, one that prioritizes safety, anatomy, and long-term outcomes over trends or volume-driven care.

What is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon?

Dr. Kashyap breaks down the training, qualifications, and safety standards that set true plastic surgery apart — and why board certification matters more than most patients realize.

Training That Shapes Perspective

Dr. Kashyap’s educational foundation includes dual medical and dental degrees, comprehensive residency training in both Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and advanced fellowship training in microsurgery and complex reconstruction at Johns Hopkins University. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Immunology, bringing scientific depth to his understanding of healing, tissue response, and surgical decision-making.

This rare breadth of training allows Dr. Kashyap to approach aesthetic surgery with a uniquely comprehensive perspective, balancing form, function, and refinement with exceptional care.

Mentorship as a Standard of Excellence

Teaching has long been a central part of Dr. Kashyap’s professional identity. His experience training residents and young surgeons reflects a belief that leadership in medicine carries both privilege and responsibility.

At Rêve, that same mentorship mindset translates into meticulous planning, clear communication, and a commitment to doing things the right way every time, for every patient.
